HR & L&D Innovation and Tech Fest 2023 at Sydney’s International Convention Centre (ICC) on 15–16 November was a whirlwind of cutting-edge innovations and profound insights, and Kineo was right in the thick of it! Our team had a front-row seat to the latest tech trends, and engaged with prospects, clients, and partners, sharing and gaining knowledge that will shape the future of elearning.
From immersive workshops to inspiring keynotes, we exchanged ideas with industry leaders and explored next-gen learning solutions. Read on for a wrap-up of our journey through Tech Fest, where we shine a spotlight on our top takeaways and the exciting opportunities ahead.
Unveiling Kineo’s ESG vision
Tech Fest 2023 marked an important milestone for Kineo with the soft launch of our pioneering environmental, social, governance (ESG) suite of courses. Clad in ESG T-shirts, our team in the booth enthusiastically introduced attendees to our initial six-course offering, including ‘ESG Fundamentals’ and ‘Introduction to the Green Economy’. With an additional eight courses scheduled for release next year, the excitement is just beginning.
We also announced a special early adopter offer , inviting forward-thinking organisations to be among the first to embrace Kineo’s approach to ESG elearning.

Aside from our ESG Training Suite unveiling our booth was abuzz. It was an ideal opportunity to meet with clients, prospects, and partners and chat about all things elearning!
Amid the conversations, stress balls appropriately on hand, we surveyed L&D visitors on their top learning challenge of the year. The resounding response? Driving cultural change. These results not only reflect the evolving landscape of corporate learning but also align perfectly with Kineo’s mission to facilitate transformative learning experiences.
The power of elearning analytics
Kineo also took to the microphone at the event, with our Head of Propositions and Insights, James Ballard, presenting a demo in one of Tech Fest’s Innovation Theatres.
His session, ‘Demonstrating the impact of learning using analytics’, took a hard look at the challenges and solutions surrounding elearning analytics. It was a great showcase for how L&D teams can harness data insights for impactful learning outcomes. The session drew a large crowd, highlighting the growing interest in data-driven learning strategies within the L&D community.
Breaking bread together: sustenance with substance
On day two of Tech Fest, we hosted a special breakfast. More than just tasty food to fuel up our attendees for another full conference day, it was a chance for some more in-depth discussion. The breakfast featured a session on ‘Brewing an impactful collective for a ground-up culture shift’. Again, it focused on the critical role of L&D in shaping corporate cultures and was reflective of the challenges L&D professionals chatted with us about in the Kineo booth.
