Last month alongside many of our colleagues in the sector, we attended Learning Technologies, the world’s leading conference dedicated to technology-supported learning in the workplace.

It was 48 hours of learning, listening, insights and great conversations with old and new colleagues. We had such a great time and we’re already looking forward to next year!

Celebrating 20 years of innovation and impact

This year, our stand proudly showcased two decades of creativity, collaboration and meaningful learning experiences.

Designed as a vibrant visual journey, it highlighted the breadth of our work with incredible organisations across the UK and around the world. From global partnerships to cutting-edge platforms, the display captured the essence of our innovation and the impact we’ve made together.

We also celebrated our international presence and the campaign themes that have defined our approach – reminding us of how far we’ve come and the exciting path ahead.

Exploring the Future of Learning: Data, Personalisation, and Impact

Adding to the excitement, around 100 attendees gathered for a compelling thought leadership seminar led by our colleagues and industry experts Matthew Mella and Rory Lawson.

The seminar, titled “Impactful Learning Experiences Through Data and Personalisation”, reflected on the fact that people are busy, overloaded with information, and fatigued with the same assigned learning every year. They explored the concept of personalisation in learning – often constrained by fixed options that limit flexibility and relevance.

The seminar posed a critical question: can learning content be made truly personal and unique? They also examined whether this level of personalisation can deliver greater value for businesses.

Reflecting on an Inspiring Learning Technologies Conference

The Learning Technologies Conference was an energising and insightful two days, filled with meaningful conversations, fresh perspectives, and plenty of inspiration.

It was a pleasure reconnecting with colleagues and friends from the last 20 years, and meeting so many passionate peers from across the learning landscape.

We came away with a deeper understanding of the sector and a strong sense of shared purpose. One theme stood out in our discussions: the importance of keeping the human learner at the heart of everything we do.

As we continue to explore the possibilities of emerging technology, the challenge and the opportunity is clear: to strike the right balance between innovation and empathy, ensuring that real people remain central to every learning experience.
